I got this to replace my qsc kw181 sub. The Bose can hit as low if not lower than the QSC, but it's not gonna shake the room like a QSC, but it's half the weight and size, which is why I got it. as a mobile DJ I can fit it in my mid size suv and it takes a Third the space of the QSC. But it still fills a room quite nicely with smooth sounding bass you that you can feel enough, especially in smaller venues like a house party or event hall or small ballroom. Also helps if you have nice tops.(I'm using the RCF hdm45s) I've done many event's with it where I had it cranked up pretty good and it stood up well sound wise even after 2 to 3 hours of cranking it. Speaking of QSC I did consider getting their cardioid sub that looks similar. But, its $700 more, little bigger, considerable heavier.

I got this to do my house party and smaller venue events. recreates pretty good bass for its size. The lows sound really good, just doesn't have the thump..
