I can see why all the guitar publications like Premier Guitar and MusicRadar give this Amp a 5 outof 5 rating. Very well built and extremely loudat 100 watts. The chimey sparkling Clean channel doesFender and Vox sounds. The Three Overdrive channels give you a tour of Marshall Amp sounds and American High Gain.I bought the Amp for the Vintage channel. This is where this Amp shines. It gives you the JTM45 sounds. It has a smooth round sound and untight with lots of sag. If you tweek this channel you can get a superlead plexi sound and the Classic channel takes you intoJCM 800 territory. The Modern gets you into higher gain sounds and metal. The sounds are incredible and mimic the classic tonesof the past. The nano tube is the best in the world, a Russian military grade and will last longer than Iwill. I do not own a Marshall Amp and I get all the Marshall tones I want without breaking my back lifting anything heavy. And if you are after a tighter sound check out the BluGuitar Amp 1 Mercury Edition which has more tightness to all the tones. Thomas Blug is a genius. I am very impressed with my BluGuitar Amp 1.

I've been looking for portable, potent, Plexi and then some Marshall tone and kept trying little modelers. Most sounded fine, but I struggled to get them right. I have so many great Plexi sounds...and then some...in my Kemper, but wanted something to fit in a gig bag. I remembered having seen Jack Gardiner's video about this and LOVING the sounds he got. When I played this at NAMM 2020, Hall D was just too loud to really appreciate it. But I remembered liking it. So I ordered it. Wow! Let me tell you, I like it so much I just ordered the Remote1 switch for it to use it for more than just a travel option! This thing sounds phenomenal!More often than not, clean channels sound like afterthoughts. This amp has a beautiful clean channel and when combined with the boost gives you excellent, chimey, pushed clean and Vox-like tone. Henning Paulie had Thomas Blug on and they got really close to his Morgan AC30 style amp. Frighteningly close! Well, it really does it! And the dynamics of this amp are incredible. Even with the boost engaged, I can roll the volume down and clean up the vintage and classic channels nicely! I have a lot of amps. This hangs with the big boys easily. And it takes pedals as well as any big amp. I am so happy I can stop looking for a plexi for my gig bag. zZounds has a great return policy. It won't hurt to try it. But I promise you won't likely send it back. I know I won't. This is a keeper.

Full disclosure, I ended up selling this. Just not the rig I was looking for, but still impressed me enough to let others know about what a great product it is. First off, this is loud! Definitely loud enough to gig with even with a 1x12 cab. The tone is very vintage Marshall to my ears. I spent most of my time on the Classic channel and used my volume knob to back off the gain when needed. I wasn't super impressed with the clean channel, but I never use it on any amp. The direct out sounded pretty good to FoH. Not IR good, but good enough to use in the places I gigged it at. It's got a lot of powerful features and if you dig into the manual you will find there's more than face value. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a complete pedalboard based rig. Only downside is most of the accessories have been discontinued and you need MIDI and the BluMidi adaptor to replicate them. I will likely check out the BluGuitar AmpX if Thomas ever releases it.
