Alright, this guitar combo amp Punches so far above it’s price point that it puts its nearest, even higher priced competing models, to shame.This amp has a 12 inch speaker, and is very lightweight. Weighs less than any combo amp I’ve ever had in a 1x12.It can run at watts or the full 50 watts. It can get very loud. With the volume at half, you will be heard over a hard hitting drummer. At 5 watts, it is extremely quiet, enough for playing in an apartment at Television volume.The gain/overdrive channel sounds very Marshallesque. Great for hard rock. And the clean is quite nice.The amp doesn’t come with a foot switch, but neither does its competitors at the 300 dollar price point.At $249.00 it’s in a class all by itself.

I've been a Blackstar user since the beginning. Theyre reliable, solid, toneful amps and surpass amps in their range. They invented a couple categories too.The Debut 50r was my first choice 2 weeks ago when i decided to buy an amp.i considered vox, fender, orange, and marshall. None had that simplicity i was after. None had the tone. I shopped this amp exclusively online. I have a knack for it. I didnt want presets and models and effects up to my eyeballs. After all was said and done the Debut revealed itself a no brainer.It's tone is the thing. Its a boutique sound. When youve got tone, you just play. The amp has responsive feel. Notes and chords are nuanced, your playing coaxes the tone out. I sound better.Its more than you should expect from a $250 amp. Reminds me of a mesa i listened to awhile back. Any player in the market for a powerful amp with finesse could do no better

I got the blond one and i have to say that i am impressed this little amp is LOUD! build quality is spot on no ratt;les warm when you want it,better than modeling amps! These Blackstar analog 50W amps are fantastic and easy to dial-in some great tones quickly so I spend more time playing without paging through menus, amp types, effects, and so-on.The cleans are great, the OD is just plain awesome with the MOSFET Pre-Amp (Reminds me of my Randall amps) and the Plate and Hall reverbs are very nice. I'm already using the 5W setting at night because this amp does get loud at 50W.I got this one really quick from zZounds. They are just a great retailer and customer care experts! I got my amp at about 830 on Thursday night Fed X is working some long hours. I got it unboxed and set it in my music room. I didn't get play it until Saturday night, everything worked fine. I put my delay, chorus and my noise suppresser in the loop. Then my Klon clone and a MXR Eq. going in the front of the amp, Everything sounded great , overall Im very happy it came right in my budget being retired you don't much so this was real bang for my bucks, I got the black one.

I have been playing in bands since 1985. I've had all kinds of amps tube solid state all kinds. It responds like a tube amp,the louder you go the better it sounds. Perfect for plug and play. Trying the pedals tonight to check that out. Great product.

Purchased debut 50 about 10 months ago.About 2 months while jamming sound went crazy . Had bass/mid/treble at noon and bass just stopped working . turned amp off and settings down (was using clean setting)turned amp back on went to reset settings and no volume until bass control was turned up.contacted zZounds was told had to contact Blackstar made several attempts no responce
