"Good Mixing Headphone"

I purchased these headphones for the sole purpose of mixing after hours. I watched a lot of "Best Headphone under $200 for Mixing" reviews before purchasing the DT 770 and overall, I'm satisfied. I can honestly say that my mixes are a lot better since I purchased them. They are well built and super very comfortable. I wish they had a replaceable cord, but sadly they do not. In terms of sound, they are a little bright on the high end but overall they are pretty flat. I recommend listening to mixed and mastered songs to get a feel for how they sound if you plan to use these for mixing. In my opinion, these are only good for mixing, the 250 Ohms requires a bit of power to push them and given the flat response, there are much better casual listing headphones on the market.

"Good headphones for a certain type of producer"

These headphones are a unique and for some the ideal experience headphones. They construction is nice and they are seemingly really durable.I found them to be odd and less that satisfactory for the price tag. I bought the 250ohm for the extra clarity and they are very clear, but almost to a fault. When a chorus or anything that requires a blend of frequency appears everything stays in its lane. The sound staging on these is perfect for panning a mix, but that is the problem. It’s too good and not giving an honest mix imo. They’re too clear and sound like a gate and frequency isolator is constantly on. The low end is present, but shrunk and for engineers this is ideal to prevent bleed of the low end, for me this sounded very unnatural like I was listening from an onboard mixer on stage not from the audience perspective, which will not work for how I mix and master. These are great for some and they’re are plenty of good reviews, but for me they don’t work for the price point.

These are quote Amazing in their own right. I have come from a pair of Behringer hps 3000's though. Lol i do not notice any high end boost like in other reviews, bit of course i'm recording on a zoon R24 not on a computer at 192khz si thatay be why. But i love the headphones and could instantly tell the difference from my old headphones that broke. With these all the tracks are seperated and distinguished from bass guitar to vocal. Would highly recomend to anyone who wants to get more accurate mixes. Only reason for 4 star is lack of detatchable cable, i know you can't have it all, but i still want it all. Lol
