"Great value, easily modded to to sound fantastic"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This has become my favorite overdrive pedal.
Sound
Out of the box, it sounds just OK, more like a distortion pedal on steroids BUT ... It sounds amazing after doing the BitMo mods that are available on eBay. Very much like an overdriven tube amp.
Features
The tone control works well, especially for brightening up the tone - cuts through.
Ease of Use
Very simple to use.
Quality
Very well made for the price - metal case, true bypass.
Value
An unbelievable deal especially with the mods.
The Wow Factor
I have both this and the Vintage Tube Monster. They are both great.

"Get the mod to make this pedal sing!"

You have to get the Bit-mo mod for this pedal to be effective, I am definitely going to keep this pedal for while.
Sound
Out of the box this thing is very harsh sounding, between 0-1 it's bearable but above that the turns into a nasty, 'static-y' sound. The Bit-Mo mod saves this pedal. I'm getting a lot more control out of the sweep of the overdrive pot, the mod made the tone sooo much nicer. Out of the box I would give this pedal 2 stars but with mod I'm giving it 9 stars. I am using: Strat, FM212r amp, Sovtek Muff, Boss Flanger, and a couple of other pedals/modelers.
Features
The pedal seem to be built decently sturdy, it is easy to use with three pots on top of it, volume, tone, drive. It came with a power supply although my board already had power this was nice.
Ease of Use
Very simple to use, just step on and adjust.
Quality
Well made steel box construction. The pots seem a little wobbly, don't kick them.
Value
The value with mod is great. I have a good sound for about $60-$70.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had to call
The Wow Factor
Like I said with the Bit-mo mod this is a great addition to my pedalboard. Looks good, works good.

"Behringer VT911 Tube Overdrive"

Overall: 1.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Out of the box this thing is so harsh and unusable I find it hard to believe any engineering dept. would allow it to go out the door as a finished product. Goes from terrible uncontrollable fuzz to really really terrible uncontrollable fuzz with the turn of a knob..the tone control has very little bearing on the tone of the thing..seems to do little or nothing..Not even close to the factory description. However, With the bitmo style Mod the thing really becomes what the factory describes,The Drive knob becomes wider sweeping between plain crunchy overdrive to controllable fuzziness, and the tone control actually works after the mod. sounds big and full now through my 800 Marshall, not cheezy as it did stock I can't believe they didn't design it this way from the factory. So if you buy one with the Skill and intentions of modding it go for it, it sounds great after the mod, and quite a bargain I think. If you plan on using it out of the box forget it, from the factory it's a Turd!

"Sounds good after the mods"

I did not like the initial sound, but the mods really have made it sound good. Tube overdrive at under $50 is pretty good.
Sound
I took the experience from the last reviewer and got the bitmo mods, and it sounds much better than it did out of the box. It is now useable and is probably better than my TS7 tubescreamer. More clarity.
Features
Power adapter is included. It is true bypass.
Ease of Use
Very straight forward, 3 knobs and a switch
Quality
It seems well-made, but it is also a behringer which has some reliability problems.
Value
It's good if you get the Bitmo mods. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend it
Manufacturer Support

The Wow Factor
Its pretty large, and has a nice blue led light when its on.
