Overall.... a 10 for sure. You just can't pick these things apart for what they sell em' for! If you are on the fence and thinking about buying one, or more of these... Do it.
Sound
I bought 2 of these to power my folded horn home theatre subs. I run them in bridged mode, and they really pack a huge punch. The sound is excellent, or at least I couldn't imagine it being any better. These things rattle my room like you wouldn't believe. Guests are always in awe. I think my neighbors hate me, and they aren't very close.
Features
Just Raw Power. Easy to configure to your needs.
Ease of Use
Couldn't get any simpler.
Quality
Very well built. No excuses.
Value
You just can't beat the value. I could have spent a whole lot more on amplifiers, and almost did. I don't regret buying a pair of these bad boys.
Manufacturer Support
No need for support as of yet.
The Wow Factor
That much clean juice for less than 300 bucks? That alone is dead sexy!

Yes I recommend this amp. Before I wrote this review I ran it in two gigs and did well. I have no complaints. I can't give you the long range aspect of this product but the other reviews and specs. of this product appear to be true.
Sound
I own this amp and I use it for my dual 15's. The base has the thump and highs are crystal clear.
Features
It has everything I need. The only thing it doesn't have that I would like is 1/4" outputs. It has speak-on and that is what I use but I will proberly never use the binding post outputs.
Ease of Use
The dip switches are easy and convient to use. Basically if you know how to run other amps you can run this one.
Quality
It is made very well and is solid. When it arrives it is packaged very good which is good because the delivery person dropped it hard on my concrete porch.
Value
I think this amp is a great deal. I went about the internet and read review after review on this amp because I am a price shopper but also want quality as well. This is a very good deal for a power amp this size. If you are reading this jump on the bandwagon before Behringer decides to raise their prices.
Manufacturer Support
Well I got use of there support. I opened everything up and took my old amp out of my rack case. I installed and hooked everything up and I was getting only a whisper through my speakers when it was turned on. I recheched all connections and everthing seemed ok so I unhooked everything and reinstalled old amp to verify connections. The old amp fired rite up and sounded ok. The reason I bought another amp was for backup equipment and more power. I tried the new amp again and still only received a whisper through my speaker system. I decided to call Behringers support phone number. I called and immedietly Behringer picked up with a live person not a machine like most companies. I was transfered to tech support and one of there technicians helped me troubleshoot the new amp. We went through each step eliminating unneccary equipment to find the solution. The last step was to replace the wiring between the mixer and the amp. I asked for the tech's name and ran to the store for new wire. I came home replaced the wire and fired it up and everything sounded great. I called up the Behringer tech and thanked him for his assistance. I still don't know why the wiring would work on my old amp but not on the new Behringer amp. I think there support was fantastic, but I'm giving it a 9 instead of a 10 because there support line was long distance and not an 800 number which can be expensive if you sit on the line and troubleshoot their products.
The Wow Factor
Hey I shopped around for two months before I decided to purchase this power amp. I want value but more important quality and this amp has both.

I would replace them with more of the same.
Sound
we use 5 of these in a rolling case for primarily outside performances. You can have 5 because they are affordable. Ours push 6 pairs of Peavey towers @ 2OHMS, 2 Behringer 18"subs @ 8ohms,& 2 Carvin and no-name cabs @4 ohms. Sound is amazing for the money spent. We set the amps at about 60% max. The quality at that level is purrrrfect. Drums, vocals, and all the instruments sound superb. Buy more than you need and run them at no more than 80% and you'll have a system that lasts and hardly breaks a sweat.
Features
dip switches are just right. good ventilation system
Ease of Use
easier than using a tv remote control...... set it and good to go.. good filters and choices...... very good connectivity choices and options...... ours are set mono - 2 for each stereo channel, and the sub channel is of course mono
Quality
engineered like a German tank, and made in China
Value
lol........ bought 2 of them for each one I would have bought from the Designer Brand Boys had they even had been available.......... The Designer Brand Boys now have comparable units at 2 and 3x the price.. I'd buy more but am maxed out on needs thanks to these.....
Manufacturer Support
good once when a combo amp transformer was running hot.......

"Best Power AMP"
Verified Customer
zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I am expanding my business and purchase more as the need designates.
Sound
Comparible to more expensive poweramps--Peavey, Crown, etc. Bridged for a 4 ohm load for my Peavey SP218 BWX's, 1 power amp per cabinet--lots of thunderous thump!
Features
I like it's simplicity--would be nice to have a lighted meter as opposed to a single amber indicator light per channel, but with use, you know when you are pushing it.
Quality
It's tough--heavy steel frame. I have played it at open air city festivals while a drive a tri-amped system. I have 4 EP2500's all for 4 subs (Peavey SP218 BWX's), one EP2500 for my 4 Peavey SP1-G's (mid 15 inch black widow's) & a EP1500 for the 4 Peavey 44XT compression drivers. Lots of watts--9600 for the subs, 2500 for the mids and 1500 for the high end compression drivers. This has been done in 90+ degree heat. NO THERMO breakdown--ever! No shut downs, etc.
Value
Best value on the market--thanks to chinese slave labor. I have owned these since they first came out--they simply work week after week.
Manufacturer Support
Never had any need to call them
The Wow Factor

"The best buy in power amps today."
Verified Purchaser
zZounds has verified that this reviewer purchased this specific product from us.
This is simply a great buy. Behringer says it is trying to deliver products to musicians that will do the job, and let them make music without going broke. The EP2500 is an excellent example of them delivering on their objectives.
Sound
A high quality power amp should have no sound of its own. The EP2500 is very good at being neutral and producing little noise or color of its own. A very high levels it has some noise if you are right next to the speaker cabs, but certainly acceptable within the venue. I have a pair of these amps. One drives a pair of JBL MP225s for mains and the other drives 4 Behringer F1520 monitors. They effortlessly produces excellent sound at both low and high levels. It is practically identical to the QSC which goes for twice the price.
Features
The setup DIP switch is very convenient, easy to use, the gain controls have detents, and good feel. I like the ability to use it in stereo, parallel, bridged, etc. It has a nice variety of input and output connection choices. Compares favorably with amps at twice the price in this area. The limiter works and protects your cabs, the filters help reduce mic stand noise and stage noise.
Quality
Its extremely rugged, has built-in protection, and protects your cabs as well. The transformer / power supply will provide enormous reserves of power for those peak demands. The fan cooling is very effective, but a bit loud in a quiet setting. Then again you don't buy an amp this powerful if you want one that is silent in a quiet room.
Value
This is the best deal in power amps today. It is simply just as good as other brands at half the cost. If you buy another brand for the name, you are probably wasting money.
Manufacturer Support
I am reserving judgement here. The good news is I have yet to need service on any of the Behringer products I own. Time will tell. I find the Behringer web site useful, and the manuals are pretty good as well.
The Wow Factor
I always think this question is hilarious. This product has absolutely no sex appeal, but its great. hmmmm - well maybe those lights blinking when you perform....

"Powerful, Clear, Affordable, and Ugly - Just What I Wanted!"
Verified Purchaser
zZounds has verified that this reviewer purchased this specific product from us.
I hope to keep this amp for quite awhile as the primary amp in my band's PA setup. We are running 2x15 cabinets with it right now in stereo mode, and I intend to later add subs, powering a sub and a cab off of each side of this amp (600w into each such and each cab). This should be plenty of power for any venue that does not already have its own system.
Sound
This amp produced clear, bright sound across all volumes when I tested it. It seemed quite on-par with equivalent amps from more established and expensive brands.
Features
Amp came with a cover for the banana plugs, which is nice for avoiding accidental crossing of metal objects (which could destroy your amp in the worst case). It does not have 1/4" speaker cable outputs, which might be for the better, but it does count as a limitation. Just go with speakon cables, as they're safer and more durable anyway.
Ease of Use
Not only is it simple to turn on, access volume knobs, and read the signal & clip LEDs, but the dip switches on the back are very easy to set. There are clearly written instructions as to what each dip switch sets, so you're not scrambling around trying to get something to work. I've been confused by QSC amps before regarding their dip switch settings.
Quality
The amp seems to be very well-built, although I've not dropped it, bumped it, etc. to find out yet. It is QUITE heavy, though - seems to be heavier than most amps.
Value
For the price comparison, this is an extraordinary value. You can get the power you need with good clarity across all frequencies, including a variable low-end cutoff (30hz or 50hz), and you don't have to pay the same amount you would for a QSC, etc. amp.
Manufacturer Support
I haven't had to call support, so I'm shooting in the dark with an 8. Behringer has a good track record, though, as a company.
The Wow Factor
It's not necessarily a "hot" looking amp. it just looks like an amp. Meaning that it has the brand name, model, and volume knobs and power switch on the front. The back looks like a bunch of plugs, instructions, and a serial number. I'll admit that there are some sexy looking power amps out there. This is not sexy, but it looks just fine.

I will not own another amp. The EP2500 is the holy grail in my book. All of my speakers are also Behringer. I use 6 F1520 Floor Monitors, 2 1520 Mains and two of the 18 inch subwoofers. I can blow the doors right off the building during a live performance. It's clean sound and I've never had to over drive anything. I am happy with most all of Behringer products.
Sound
I currently own 2 of these things, and I am buying two more today. Behringer really got it right! The headroom on this thing is amazing, you can push it to the limit without distorting or skipping a beat.
Features
Lots of ways to hook up your speakers, I use the speakon way but you can go XLR if you want.
Quality
Crown, Peavey and all the others out there - get ready to get your butts stomped in the amp race! I've owned and used just about every amp out there. I mean none of them will cook an omlet for you, but if you need to crank your system and have something dependable, then this is it. Very sturdy construction. I wouldn't throw it out a second story window, but it might survive if I did.
Value
Quit looking, you're not going to find a better deal. Absolutely the best product for the money.
Manufacturer Support
I've only had to use behringer support one time. They have their support numbers on their website and in their user manuals. The one time I called them was for a mixing board problem, it just up and died. On my first call, I got a real live person and they took care of the shipping and everything. It took them a while to get things fixed but it was during the Christmas holidays so I understand. They didn't even bother with fixing my old board. They sent me a brand new one. Now, I've dealt with Mackie, and I hate to say it, but Mackie needs to take some notes.

"Sweet Sounding Power!"

Get it you can't go wrong!
Sound
Damn Loud! No Distortion, way more headroom than any amp in it's pricerange. I have been using the expensive QSC 2450 and the behringer sounds louder. I have to back the behringer down 2 knoches to match the QSC. Sounds great too!
Features
The amps have dual 1/4 jack inputs, Dual speakon, Dual binding posts, and dual banana outputs. Yes, the amp has banana jacks, just pull out the plastic stoppers and wow, there they are! This was the only thing I was worried about because you guys said they didn't have them, well guess what, you were wrong, they are there, and work great! Love the dip switch set up with 50hz cut, 30hz cut, or no cut switches. Saves your speakers from sounding muddy or overdriven. You can also set it up so that the amp runs in mono via the dip switches, this also makes channel 2 a line level output to run to another amp or device. Perfect for setting up large speaker matrixes or arrays of speakers all driven from the same signal. OR set the switches to run in bridged mode for 1200 watts of pure power. Did I mention that these things are crazy loud, I have run the amp once full on out indoors and It will make you go blind so you won't have to run the amp cranked all the way up to get heard.
Quality
Doesn't feel flimsy! The rack tabs are 2 layers thick 12 gauge steel. Tabs stick out a little due to thickness but can't notice unless you look down on them. Look normal from straight on. Built like a tank.
Value
Half the price of anything out there.
Manufacturer Support
A little slow to repair gear but they respond to your emails and phone calls quickly. Had to repair my behringer studio monitors after about a year of use. Took them about 6 weeks to get them back to me. They work fine now.

I expect these amps will last a life time. I use them every weekend for my gigs and they are very dependable.
Sound
very good sound. I use it for my tri-amped P.A. system. I use it for mids and subs Peavey tops and bottoms
Features
Good connections, XLR, speak-on, banana, etc.
Ease of Use
It's easy to use. I am disappointed, however, that it seems to lack the head room I expected to get. The red LED's, indicating it has reached its limit and is starting to clip happens sooner under the same conditions than its cousin, the QSC RMX 2450. They look essentially the same, same power ratings--2400 watts at 2 ohms (1200 watts x 2). However, the EP2500 has less headroom than the RMX 2450. The RMX 2450 can produce more amplified power to your speakers before the red LED's light up. Still, for the money, the EP2500 is bullet-proof. It works without stopping--in 100 degree heat--I know from experience. Overall, a very good amplifier, which I just do not recommend for the subs. The QSC is a better amp for that.
Quality
heavy case, durable amp--I like it.
Value
best value on the market for full range, mids and highs. Just not as good for the subs--It's good to a point for subs.
Manufacturer Support
I have had no reason to call them.

I do not have any plans to replace this product in the foreseeable future. If I had to choose one bad thing about this product, it would be the fan noise from its cooling system. But if you play your music loud and/or you have the unit located in a discreet place, it shouldn't be any bother.
Sound
I use this strictly as a mono amplifier for my 15" SoundSplinter RL-p subwoofer and 15" SoundSplinter RL-s subwoofer. Both perform exemplary with the massive power on tap and I have noticed no problems with sound quality.
Features
What more does it need? This amplifier is no frills, but it does its job and it does it well!
Quality
No blemishes, sleek and understated. It is a very fine product, though I don't necessarily need the rack-mount flanges since I don't use a rack system.. nevertheless, it doesn't bother me.
Value
Killer! That's what made me buy this - where else are you going to find 2400 watts for $300?! Fantastic value.
Manufacturer Support
I will give a 10 by default - since I have had zero problems and thus needed no support.
The Wow Factor

This amp is no joke, It is built tough as any rmx amp and just as much power. Check the damping factors and power output compared to a rmx2400. The noticable difference is the price.
Value
One of the best values for the buck.
Manufacturer Support
I havent had to deal with them as of yet. But I give them a 8 for not having to talk to them!!
The Wow Factor
It fits in my wallet, and my PA is around 10, 000 watts, thanks to these baby's!!!!!!!

"Can be a bit better but great for the price!!!"
Verified Customer

For more years to come. I like this product. It provide a good deal of power for cheap. The only thing I notice was it did got a little warm after a long period of use but it never went out on us. Put it this way, it work very well and you don't have to spend an arm and a leg to get one. I'm getting another one soon so I can expand my sound system.
Sound
Good bang for your buck!!!
Features
All around features are good. Easy to set up into by amping or parellel set up.
Quality
Not the best out there but I say good power at a low price. Will purchase another one soon.
Value
2400 watts in mono bridge mode for under $300. I don't think you can beat that. Made of very durable material.
Manufacturer Support
The company just gave me a few ways to get the answer to my question.
The Wow Factor
Look just like every other amp out there.

Verified Customer

End of life cycle.
Sound
Between my Crown XL900 and my EP2500 I can not hear any sonic difference through my PA except perhaps the XL900 maybe slightly louder at uncomfortable listening levels. Also the EP2500 can be switched to parallel mode(1 in 2 outs) via DIP switch.
Features
Bling~needs more lights
Value
Way cheap
Manufacturer Support
no so far
The Wow Factor
Needs more Bling~ to standout. The crown is bigger in size, sticks out further and will drain your wallet.

"Overcome the stigma and get a great amp."
We will buy more of these in the future. Simply the best value in this output range.
Sound
This amp is very clean and handles the low end well. We have 3 of these driving our subs and another on our mids.
Features
Hook-up, lay-out and design are fine. Detents knobs feel solid. Binding-post covers are a nice plus.
Ease of Use
DIP's are a little annoying, but the necessary for the versatility. Cheats on the back of the amp for DIP switches is nice.
Quality
A big WHOA to the guys pushing gas out of their faces on the quality. There will always be a 1-2% defective rate on high-volume builds like this one. Buy an extra one or two at these prices! We just sold a Crown for parts recently after getting a $467 estimate to repair it. Main board was junk.
Value
Best value period.
Manufacturer Support
Website is very functional. Never had to use phone support and we own a lot of Behringer gear.
The Wow Factor
Aside from the stigma that the Behringer haters create in the market place, this is a very desirable piece of gear.

"Great amp period."
Verified Purchaser
zZounds has verified that this reviewer purchased this specific product from us.
This is the first Behringer product I've owned and the only one I've been impressed with. While the numbers may be stretching it a bit, it is a good solid power amp period - not just for the money. It may crap out in a couple of years, but hey I've had a QSC and Crest do the same thing. Since I'm just coming back to nonpowered speakers, the price really helped me get the speakers I wanted.
Sound
Compared side by side with a Crown xl802d(I know that's a basic unit also, but hey, I'm on a tight budget),I honestly can't tell the difference, except the Crown will start clipping sooner. Whether I'm driving the tops or subs (Mackie s408's and s410s's - VERY power hungry boxes) the sound quality is amazing.
Features
I like the dip switches. It's a lot harder for something to change. I do not use the internal limiter - it seems to affect the sound and I cut it at 30HZ to get the best sound. Just use a good external compressor\limiter on your kick and bass and you will be good to go.
Ease of Use
It's not rocket science - it's a power amp.
Quality
It seems to be very well built for a China made product, but hey, my Crown is made in China too. The only thing I don't like is the noisy fan. Since I bring my speakers indoors in between gigs, one of my subs sets in my living room hooked up to my surround sound. So I went online and found a quiet 24vdc fan to replace the factory fan for home use. I would not recommend since this voids the warranty, but hey it's only a year anyway. Then I just put the factory fan back in for demmanding gigs. Takes about 5 min.
Value
You just can't beat it for the money and Zzounds beat the best price I could find. So it pays to shop. Thanks Zzounds and Behringer.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had to have any parts or anything so this is n/a for me.
The Wow Factor
It is what it is - a basic power amp.

"In so many words,,,,Value usually means cheap,,,NOT IN THIS CASE.. In this case "VALUE MEANS VALUE""
I was lucky enough to be able to try this baby out before ordering 2 of them..When i took the amp back,,i told the retailer i could leave the amp in my car without thinking about it...
I must admit,, i was surprised,,very surprised...!
Sound
I have tried most of the other brands...
I think i've found rose..
I have had the opertunity to use this amp on two occations..
Once on a peavey set,,,sound like crap normally,,but with this baby you didn't have to push the "peaveys" to get any bottom end out of them. With the 2500 hooked up it gave these cabinets "FULL" range sound from idle to full output..Peavey should buy shares in berhinger..:>)
The second time i got to use the ep2500 was on my own system, cerwin vega.
2-psx153 & 2-psx36 subs...WOW,,,solid,clean sound from start to end...
Features
Blows the other "brand" names out of the water..
Single word - Rock solid..!
Quality
Crystal clear right to full output..
If you do need to hit clip,,,it's sitting right there waiting for more.
When i got to try this amp on my cerwin vegas, i ran it all the way,,responce,,,just sat there waiting for more..
No current lose at clip level...SOLID
Value
For this amp i would expect to pay close to 2000.00 to match the quality and brute force of this baby..
Value in this case does "NOT" mean comprimise
Manufacturer Support
N/A
The Wow Factor
I have wanted an amp for a long time,,that would be the mackie line,,
HOWEVER,,,my second choice would without question be the ep2500..
Do not take second as an insult...The berhinger is being compaired to the best,,not a bad standing...and for the buck,,,can't be beat..
Did i mention i have 2 coming in...?

"EP2500 is poor copy of RMX 2450 and costs more than 3 times as much when you finally come down to it"
I will never take another Beringer product, if they did it to Mackie, I should have know they will do it to anyone..QSC should not have to be put up with their stuff being copied, because some are to lazy to design there own stuff, any time some one copies someone else's, it is theft..an RMX 2450 will run circles around this thing anyways..only drawback to 2450 is it is heavey, that is why I beleive in PLXII'S
Sound
The amplifier is capable of making sound..if you steal your design from some one else and it sounds good, should you get credit for it?: this amp is a copy of the qsc rmx 2450
Features
there are no accessories with this product that i know of, other than that the top of it interchanges perfectly with an RMX 2450, and it also looks like a lot of other thing will fit, but I did not spend the time to find out, again if you steal some elses design should you get credit for it?
Ease of Use
The amplifier says it will handle a 2 ohm load, I suggest you hook up 4 8 ohm cabinets per side, (that would be like 8 peavey sp1's,that would look impressive), make sure you have it hooked up to good electrical service, you want to make sure the amp can pull all the current it can, then use good wires to feed your cabinets, make sure the speakers aren't starvin for power' then drive hip hop into it all night at clipping and see how long yours lasts..you will find Behinger did not copy the quality of the qsc...rmx 2450
Quality
even though this amp is a copy of the RMX 2450, they achieved cheapness in there construction of the design, the circuit cards are thinner, they used smt components on the other side of the boards, so they are closer to the heat sinks, they used no heat sinks on the rectifiers, and used a raised indention to bolt the heat sinks to, which if the amp is laying on a table or on a another amp in a rack, it will trap the heat in the rectifiers, also an IEC 10 amp inlet device of poor plactic quality is used to attach the power cord to, which is then protected by a 15 amp circuit breaker, which will allow 5 more amps of current to pass than the part is rated for if there is a failure, how this amp got its saftey ratings is beyond me. If this amp starts a fire, now you know why..hopefully it will not be your house.
Value
if you use it for 1 year and blow it up, you get to buy another one, then use it for 1 year and blow it up , you get ot buy another one, the use it for year and blow it up then you get to buy another one..
thats like $1049.85 plus the money you lost on the 3 gigs where amp caught on fire... as the QSC RMX 2450 at retail will get you a six year warranty, plus it won't fry into 2 ohm loads at 10% distortion..its only $875, but then again, you really were not planning on spending you life doing hip hop were you?
Manufacturer Support
Getting response from the manufacturer for schematics, is impossible, getting parts for the older equipment is impossible, if you have one out of warranty, it will not get fixed unless you know a tech who likes to work, for free..for long hours, as this dam thing is one of the hardest products to trouble shoot that I come across, give me a Peavey CS800 any day of the week..
The Wow Factor
Why would I want another one of these, with what I know now about them, buyer beware, there is reason things cost more, power amps with sex appeal? You keep these things in the back and out of sight, like an ugly cousin, you hope and pray they continue to do what they are designed to do and if one fails you hope the others can handle the load...this amp cannot

Behringer EP2500 Amp Customer Review
Sound
JUNK! I bought this to power monitors. It worked for a month. Now it doesn't do anything but show the green LED that it is on. Waste of money. You would be much better served to purchase a low end Crown or Crest, even a Peavey (can't believe I just said Peavey). Behringer is known for problems, don't risk your hard earned dollars on this product.

"WITHOUT A DOUBT BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK!"
I'd have to give it a 9.5 overall....the only issue some people might find w/ this amp is that it is pretty heavy...also if you drive it into clip then the recovery time is slow....but anyone who continuously drives it into clip needs a higher power amp!
Sound
Sounds as good as Crown amplifiers I've heard in the past. These things will perform well IF USED THE RIGHT WAY!
Features
I can't complain about the features, what more could your want on a pro audio amp? The only thing I could see them adding is 1/4'' outputs, but honestly who uses them? SPEAKON ALL THE WAY!
Ease of Use
PLUG AND PLAY!
Quality
Great quality, built like a tank but it is heavey, I have 2 in a rack and it is a back-breaker but I don't see it breaking anytime soon!
Value
For $300-$350 and you get all the features, quality, and power of Crown, Peavey, and QSC amps why not go for a BEHRINGER!
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had to deal w/ them.....no glitches in the product.

It amplifies, what more do you want, two channels so many possibilities or just a spare.
Quality

I have 8 EP-2500s and I run them wide open 5 days a week. The are in road racks and get banged around every time we pack up and move. Never a problem. I like these better than QSC and the price is unbelievable.
Value
I still can't believe how cheap these are. Makes you wonder how QSC and other get away with what they charge.

Have not had any problems with the amps but called support for advice on a complex setup I did for a show and the support team was top notch!
