This is the second Mockingbird that I have purchased from Zzounds in the last two years. I picked up a Masterpiece Mock and was really pleased with it, so when the the plus came out I just had to get one.The mahogany body is a great tone wood,the burl maple top is simply beautiful and the set neck, well does just what a set neck is supposed to do it plays well, and sustains nicely. The BDSM pick ups to me are just fine, they have a nice tone when on the neck and a nice gain on the bridge. It was years since I had a guitar with a Floyd Rose and well for all the goings on with them they do have there advantages.The biggest thing you have to get by is the stereotype that this is simply a metal guitar believe me it's not. I play rock,blues,country everything on this baby. I was happy also to see a guitar at $399.00 that was manufactured in Korea. Just like my Masterpiece Mockingbird of a few years ago this is a really good value at this price point.
