I just ordered the blue mockingbird ice last week and had it shipped in time for a show I was playing. Slapped some DR Neon green 10s on and rocked out with it . It sounds nice , got many compliments on the looks . Only a couple down falls to it , extremely heavy , the volume and tone knobs are hard to turn , and mine has a tiny air bubble near the top of the body , not noticeable to on lookers but it annoys me . The thing does have a beefy heavy sound and surprising amounts of sustain .

The guitar came in very great shape. The stock pickups are not too shabby for being BC Rich. Very good tone and the sustain is amazing. It is however, it is a very heavy guitar, probably the heaviest I have ever used. Overall, you cannot beat the amazing look and sound of the guitar for the price.

"Acrylic Blue Mockingbird"

Ive owned a green one, and a red warlock over the years, but had since sold them, and also regretted that decision. Sooo..BC Rich gives me another opportunity so I jumped on it. I chose the Blue Mockingbird, and although it is great...it is a bit dark, if I had to do it again I would have gone with Red. I also expected the back of the headstock to be stamped with the 1 - 60 number...but it only has a serial number...so Im not positive the blue ones are limited to a 60 pc run (the main reason I purchased it because I figured there were only 60 pcs in existance). Everything about the guitar is decent...neck is nice...tones are comparable to a les paul....but lets face it...we buy this one for the wow factor of it being transparent...and it is very cool looking.

"Why not to buy a B.C. Rich..."

I don't like It's not put together well. It's a half-way attempt to sell something that's of only average quality as something special, at an inflated price.
Sound
I like the idea. I would even entertain owning one, but B.C. Rich missed the boat with their gimmick. Do something special with the pickups. The wires and solder spots shouldn't be exposed. It was a cool idea that needed to be followed through to come up with something really nice and new, but alas...B.C. said, "Hey, let's give 'em a clear plastic body with a little reflective irredecense dribbledd in, and just use the same old muddy pickups and cheapo scratchy pots and mediocre neck that we've always used. Come on now B.C. Rich. Spare us your feeble attempts. Not cool...just cheesy and insulting. I guess you guys at B.C. haven't as yet figured out that quality is in the attention to details. Come on now. $500 bucks for a gimmick that isn't worth $200?
Features
Same old mediocre wires, magnets, pots, and neck set in an irredencent acrylic body.
Quality
I gave it a 2 because the parts work, but they could have finished it up a lot better for the price they are asking.
Value
It's worth $200 bucks...tops. There is not even $20 bucks worth of acrylic in the body.
