"Used 2007 yard sale find review"
Picked up one under $50 with a case at a yard sale. I think it's a 2007. Made in Indonesia. Comes with very cheap tuning machines. So far the guitar has stayed in tune with light use. I was really impressed with the tone of this guitar. After all the other reviews I read bashing the Bronze series guitars I was expecting it to sound very cheap and tinny. Sounds better than the cheapo LTD F-100 I had. The neck is wide and super thin. Almost too thin for my monster hands to play comfortably. Frets are smaller than I'm used to as well. Tone gets a little honky with distortion around the 9th fret and above but WOW the tone is meaty below the 9th fret and you can get some really good metal crunch out it.. The wraparound bridge leaves a little to be desired. I've already had a couple offers to buy it from the friends I've shown it too. Low action and good looks. Not sure it would be gig worthy but I bet somebody out there does or has before it fell apart lol...

"Good Beggining Guitar"
Verified Purchaser
zZounds has verified that this reviewer purchased this specific product from us.
As I said above this guitar is good for begginers who want a cool looking Axe, its a good alternative to the other popular Warlock model.
Sound
The sound quality of this guitar is pretty good, the distortion is heavy but not heavy enougth, and the cleans are not crystal clear. Theres room for improvement by replacing the pickups.
Features
Master volume and Tone, is very useful, i wouldnt like to have a bunch of knobs all over the place to get it just right, only one for each, plain and simple. The Bridge is different from others, it can be tricky at times to replace the strings, but its good.
Ease of Use
This Guitar is fairly easly to use, great for begginers. It has good response to what u give it, so everything comes out well. Remember to use ur peadals and thats about it.
Quality
The body and neck are very durrable, it built like a tank, kinda heavy, but other than that it can last for years to come.
The Wow Factor
This guitar is very sexy, nice body witha set of curves. Its one of the most unique designs i've ever seen.

"The neck to body angle"
To me this is a major problem. It makes the height of the strings too high off the body. I plant my fingers like Michael Batio on the body for stability. This is hard to do because of the angled plane of the neck in relation to the body. This to me is a design flaw. Other than that the guitar is decent.

"Mockingbird Truth"
Dude i have decided i am never leaving this guitar. It's too tough to break on me (frame wise) and with the money i payed for it i wont be afriad everytime a friend says "dude let me try". What i might do is replace the capiciter to get a different sounding tone, and maybe upgrade to emg pick-ups (i hear they are better for recording). As for the body: this is awesome. Mine is black =]
Sound
I use this with a big muff pi and i personally think it is very good sounding. the only reason i dont give it a 10 is because some people may not like the deep sound that it has. I love it very much though. I opened it once and i think i screwed something up becuase now the switch which goes from teh lowerer pick-up to the higher pick-ups is way to "responsive", but thats good, its like haveing a pedal on the guitar - i go form a warm sound to a straight light and brigh "acoustic" sound. But i guess that is nothing to do with what most ppl will experience. o yea, the big muff pi sounds awesome with this as well. I will say this: at first play you might not like it, but if you play it for a week you absolutely will not be able to hate it.
Features
eh only two knobs, sometimes i wish there were more but at other times i think it would only complicate the tone. No wah bar, but you i dont really like them. Basically its really well equiped for someone who doesnt like a lot of extras but wants a guitar they can depend on.
Quality
a nine because the jack nut kept coming lose - i screwed it in tight so it doesnt do it now - and because i broke the volume knob (don't play drunk - the volume never sounds loud enough and when you twist the knob very very hard many times it will break =[ ). BUt this thing is so strong frame wise. i like grunge and garage rock and this guitar makes you feel like you can actually play those kinds of sounds without having to be "gentle".
Value
dude for this price this thing is awesome. I bought it because it was my first guitar and i didnt want to spend much but damn did i get a sweet set of wood and wires.
Manufacturer Support
i never called. there is nothing they can tell me that i cant ask the real-life guy at a guitar repair shop.
The Wow Factor
LOL look at it. Its so different from all the other fender look alikes. Its sleeker than those hollow bodies (they are good guitars no nocking them but im always afriad they might collapse). and its still not like those other guitars that only metal heads can have. It looks risky compared to fenders and elegant compared to guitars like the flying-V
