I'm very happy. Took a chance with the price & it has been a very good investment. No real reason to upgrade unless you need balanced connections.
Sound
This device can make dramatic or subtle alterations to your sound. It instantly can bring your signal a lot of clarity. But once it's in your chain, it's hard to go without it.
Features
Very basic features. Has unbalanced connections, but that makes it perfect for my bass rig. Attached power cable is nice (no need to worry about it coming off in your rack rig).
Ease of Use
Too easy. Engage & twist knobs until it sounds right. Even a monkey could get excellent tones out of his bass rig.
Quality
Seems to be very solid. Pretty heavy & sturdy feeling. Not too wide so it should fit in just about any rack. No issues for me.
Value
It's so affordable. The fact that it has two channels makes it very versatile. I use one out for my amp & one out for the PA on my bass rig.

I didn't even realize that I needed it, but now I will not play without it. I'm a mobile DJ and sound guy for some local bands. I use it for my DJ gear and I have used it for several applications with bands. I thought that my sound need little improvement, but when I plugged this puppy in; Presto, it's magic. The clarity is amazing and it is silent in the loop. When I do sound for small bands, I don't EQ the monitors and I have had some trouble with the muddy sound coming straight out of the amp. I put this in the loop and it was like having a tweaked EQ but cheaper.

this thing makes a differnece thats worth arond maybe 300 dollars, only god knows why they priced it at 100, its funny to because after u turn the bypass switch on my amp sounds horrible, i need this thing, i cant play without it!

i just put the lo countor knob to 7 and the process to 7 and a half and bam!, its metallica time!

this product should be priced at atleast 300 dont hesitate, i tried it out in the store with a different head and a crap cab and on the way home i was wondering, why did i buy this it sounded like crap at guitar centter, i brang it home, OH MY GOD THIS PEACE OF GEAR RULES!

THAT IS WHAT this is "QUALITY SOUND"! This fixes many "BAD" sounds and actually makes them sound "GREAT"! VERY SIMPLE! Let me tell you it works! This is without a doubt the single BEST piece of electronics for making any sound sound its BEST!!! WOW!

There are only two knobs to turn and that is all! VERY SIMPLE, VERY EASY, VERY GOOD RESULTS!
Ease of Use
If you can plug in a wire and turn a knob you are half way there! But you will have to plug in two and turn two of each to make it work along with a power button! Are you confused yet?
Quality
OMG! How did they do it? VERY GOOD QUALITY throughout. It is DBX and that alone means TOP QUALITY in the music world! There is NOTHING in the world which can do what DBX has done! It is MAGICAL!

This could sell for hundreds more and people would still buy it! It is really something special! If you ever use one I GUARANTEE you will WANT ONE. The best part is you can bypass it and listen without yet push a button and activate it. Believe me you will become ADDICTED to the clarity and definition it produces and will NEVER play without it again! You will INSTANTLY become a better sounding player and your fans will NOTICE! I am in LOVE with this unit but have NO SEXUAL THOUGHTS about her! She does feel SMOOTH and CLICKY when I turn her on!!!!! She is SOOOOOOOOOO SWEET SOUNDING I wanna hear her SCREAM!!!

Just buy the Sonic Maximizer. You will never be sorry. This is probably my favorite piece of guitar equipment that I own. Just as a word of advice, make sure you buy the RACK SYSTEM, not the floor pedal. The floor pedal was the biggest waste of my 100$. Awful. BUY THE RACK SYSTEM!!! The sonic maximizer is AWSOME!!!
Sound
It is like taking the blankets off your amp. It make your amp almost twice as loud, twice as clear, and twice as awsome. I have a marshall stack, and without the sonic maximizer, the amp sounds comparitivly terrible. AWSOME!!!

Perfect. Nothig else is needed on it. It is once again...AWSOME!!!

Even a caveman could operate the sonic maximizer. It has two knobs and one button. Could it be any simpiler??? AWSOME!!!
