So I bought this mic to use instead of a AT2020 mic, which tends to pick up a lot of the ambient sounds in my apartment when I'm trying to record vocals into my tracks when producing music. I don't have a booth or anything like that, so I got this mic because of it's pickup pattern and the fact that you have to be right in front of it for the most part. I have a deep late night Dj voice, and this mic picks it up very well. I would like to try a Shure SM7B just to see what all the fuss is about, but I HAVE seen people say that this mic sounds as good as the Shure for a much lower price. Again I haven't tested that, but I hope to in the near future. This mic gets the job done and mount to my blue mic arm without issue. The sound is great and it feels nice and sturdy. I give it 5 stars all around!
