I bought this cart to replace an old Empire cart on a used Technics turntable I recently picked up on the cheap. I wanted something that I could use for older records, as I have a 440MLA on my main table. This carts performance was a pleasant surprise! It's a little less detailed on the highs than the 440, but it's pretty close! The bass is astonishing with this cart, much better than the 440. Midrange is about the same. I got this cart for $65 with zZounds price match! If you want 90% of the 440 for less than half the price, get this cart. You may be pleasantly surprised!
