It's fine ... not looking for alternates or others. It will take a while to know/find what this one can do. Right now it would be easier to have all the knobs since you don't have a "keyboard" on-screen (again, mouse is 1 finger, not 5) that can play all your fingers ...
Sound
Nice ... not sure there is another word ... just nice. It's really a treat when one has such a large collection of the likes of Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream, Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis and so many other artists ... and all of a sudden one is hearing these sounds when you hit the keys ... it's almost scary, breath taking ... imagining that you can create something that can be as awe inspiring as what you heard so long ago ... yet sound as pretty.
Features
Works fine and I run it from an Oxygen 61 ... the manual setup for it was a head ache to start ... I suppose that Arturia (and others) figure that Midi is an after thought ... like a baby's breath ... but the sounds sure are.
Ease of Use
Learning curve was in the setup so it could be played since the mouse is "one finger" ... and not a hand that you can preset 5 fingers for (try that on a mouse ... how about inventing it so you could play a third automatically !!!!! ... no one plays a keyboard with 1 pointer and might be more fun to devise a way that we can "play this" on the computer screen ... (without a keyboard/midi -- something that needs more discussion int he manual!)
Quality
Someone said that the original is always best ... and I could not help thinking of all the different versions of Beethoven and Mozart and Stravinsky ... and wondering which one was more original than the other. In essence, "analog" was the infancy of the digital ear and a major part of its growth. It sounds and plays as nice as the original ... I'm sure that Mozart might be flatters and actually enjoy not having to go through Salieri ever again! Not to mention so many other composers!
Value
It's good
Manufacturer Support
Not good. Could not get adequate access and information to help setup a Oxygen 61 Midi controller, and setting up the faders and knobs on that keyboard are still not done ... and the manual ignores this section completely.
The Wow Factor
Sexy. Blonde ... not quite blue eyes. Bikini needs a make over. The posture is a bit old fashioned. The song book she is holding is definitly outta-season. The haircut is pre-historic. ... still ... she is pretty and few of us would not like to have a date with the prom queen!
