"Sounds great "

I use this head on a 8x14 luddie maple snare. The head sounds great in that it controls overtones without the use of other muffling. The head takes some time to break-in and sounds better with time. The coating will not wear out or come off like other brands. I'd recommend an Aquarian Focus X for a Supraphonic or metal snare drum.
