Definitely designed for heavy playing and does a great job. Eliminates most overtones, no need for gel or studio rings to get fat tone. I find it a little hard to get softer sound or press roll when needed, but it's not built for that. Delivers a LOUD crack and invites you to whack as hard as you can.
