Alvarez MDA70 Masterworks Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar

A mahogany neck with a real bone nut and saddle creates lasting sustain steeped in low end. Hand-finished, scalloped X bracing adds projection to the MDA70.

I have played Alvarez guitars for many years. They make a high quality product at very reasonable prices. The Masterworks models are at the high end of their product line of really great guitars at relatively low prices. The only model that they make that is top of the line are the Yairi models, whose construction up until his death were personally supervised by Kazuo Yairi from his own private stock of air cured tone woods. Some of the best guitars made in my honest opinion. As a matter of fact Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead played Alvarez Yairi models. The MDA70 is no surprise to me with its quality construction and fabulous set-up and tone.

Musical Background:

Have played for about thirty years or so mostly for my own entertainment, but do bands sometimes.

Musical Style:

Mostly Traditional country, soft rock, folk, and some blues.
