I have 5 guitars and have owned dozens through the years. I recently purchased a Martin D-12E which is the larger, dreadnaught size. It sounds beautiful ... full and yet articulate in the mids and upper ranges. I got the Alvarez AG70WCEAR shipped to me today. I had researched this guitar heavily before ordering. And I have to say, it far exceeded my already high expectations. I needed to reach the upper frets for combining some lead with the rhythm. Well, this guitar plays so easily and the quality is nothing short of excellent. But the sound really surprised me. I like it a little better than my Martin's sound ... and the Martin's sound is beautiful. For the quality and hand-crafted workmanship, and for the great sound, you simply cannot go wrong. This Alvarez is comparable to guitars selling for three times as much. It's my first experience with an Alvarez, and it won't be my last. If you're on the fence, don't hesitate on this brand and model. Plus, as usual, zZounds performed quickly and has always quickly shipped high quality gear, packed superbly, to me.

I've played Alvarez guitars in years past and always liked their quality and sound. I was in the market for a new guitar and came across the CEAR line. I went to a local music store and played the AG70WCEAR and was extremely impressed. Solid feel, and very good electronics for the price. I'm so glad I bought one. Thanks zZounds!
