I have purchased the studio mk ii, and after playing with it, i find it to be worth it's cost , and comes with a lot of expansions and plug ins to get started. After downloading the studio's drivers, i then loaded Mpc 2.0, which already had the update to 2.14. You get a few synths like Mellotron, Tubesynth, Hype, Solina, as well as some air plug ins and the Vocal Suite. After using Mpc Beats for a week (highly recommended) i decided to go forward with the full Mpc 2.0 software, and it is essentially the same, except you have 128 audio and 128 midi tracks you can use up to per program!Using the software is easy once you understand it's GUI layout, which is similar to using a Mpc, where you have programs, sequences, and using the software, can load up a program of sounds from available Mpc expansions on the right of the app, and you can even load your own kits in as well. Sampling is a breeze, using the Sample Edit feature, and it even allows the 16 levels function which spreads a chopped sample into the 16 pads as octaves! The studio has many pros, and I like the touch strip with effects that are loaded in! The pads have a sturdy feel to them, and look beautiful in a dim lit room. I did not experience any double hits, and the pads are the same as the ones on the Live MK II. The mini screen is a nice touch and though it is small, I can read the information on it, and I only look at the screen for small info like the track it is in, which program I am using. But I do rely more on my main screen for this info. It is a clear screen though, and its a nice touch, but i wish it was just 50% bigger. The only con is that the Studio MK II does not have q links (it should have offered 4 of them) but the touch strip does allow you to use the Qlinks, and it does work. Other than that, the Studio MkII is a solid controller for MPC 2.0, and feels real good and not cheap feeling at all. Mpc 2.0 comes with about over 10 GB worth of sound expansions too. If you are looking to get into the Mpc workflow while working in your favorite daw or as a standalone production daw, i feel it is worth the cost alone! zZounds also got my package to me in a short time, within 2 days, so i will rely on them for future purchases!

It comes with mpc beats software and a bunch of sound libraries. Excellent workflow makes creating songs a snap! It was on back order from zZounds but they shipped it the next week! Thanks zZounds!
