I was excited to find a drum mat that had the dimensions of the Ahead mats. Most mats are not deep enough for the way I have my kit setup. It sounds like it'd be a great mat however the backing material is not very flexible and creases. Upon unrolling the mat for the first time I was shocked at the fact that the mat did not lie flat and could not relax enough to flatten it even after laying it out for a few days per the manufactuer's direction. While there seems to be so many great features of this mat, one completely missed the mark...the fact that you can set your drums up on a surface that isn't flat.
