The A12e features Taylor's compact Grand Concert body which makes it perfect for beginning, fingerpicking or anyone with a lighter touch who craves the physical comfort of a small-body guitar. The guitar's design specs are optimized for playing ease, making it an excellent choice for players starting out.

Taylor's patented, slim-profile neck features an array of hand-friendly touches: a shorter 24-7/8-inch scale length, 1-11/16-inch nut width, low action, and light gauge strings, all of which contribute to a slinky handfeel.

The lightweight guitar body, featuring layered sapele back and sides with a solid Sitka spruce top, boasts an ergonomic armrest that enhances the playing comfort for one's picking arm. The guitar was also voiced to be extra responsive to make the playing experience as relaxed as possible.

The guitar comes with an onboard ES-B pickup that includes a built-in digital chromatic tuner, and comes with a sturdy lightweight gig bag.

ES-B Pickup/Preamp Combo:

The ES-B pickup incorporates Taylor's Expression System(R) 2 piezo design elements and features an onboard preamp with a built-in digital chromatic tuner. The preamp/tuner unit features an LED display for tuning and low battery indication, along with Tone and Volume controls. The preamp/tuner is powered by two button cell 3v lithium (CR2032) batteries. Two new batteries will provide approximately 300 hours of use. The ES-B conserves battery life using a standard on/off system that will automatically read more turn off if left on over 3 minutes. A low battery indicator on the LED display (located on the preamp circuit board) will display an "L" when the battery reaches 4.5 volts.

Enhanced Playability:

Our sleek, hand-friendly necks feature light-gauge strings and optimized dimensions for a slinky feel.

A Comfortable Armrest:

This ergonomic feature is built into the guitar body to offer a more relaxed and rewarding playing experience.

I received my A12e first week of July 2020 and I have been unable to put it down. This is one helluva guitar. Sounds great and plays like a dream. After many years of just playing electric guitar I decided to get back to acoustic. I have a 1968 Gibson Southern Jumbo which I love too but the nut is very narrow and fingers felt a little cramped. I did a lot of research and decided upon the Taylor A12e. Absolutely no regrets. GET THIS GUITAR!
