this is the perfect bass to get started on I've been singing in bands all my life and decided to pick up the bass. After researching a few basses i opted for this one and its perfect for the beginer easy to handle great sound. the mustang is a great value not so expensive that if it ends up sitting in a corner that it will break you but still a quality inturment that is very playable and makes learning a pleasure as i improve I will probably upgrade to a fender but for right now I am loving the mustang i would recomend it to anyone looking to pick up the bass. My only recomendation would be change the strings as soon as you take it out of the box it will save you some stress if youu put some quality strings on.
