Rocktron Rampage Distortion Pedal
Rocktron breaks the barriers with their Rampage pedal that pushes distortion to its outer limits! This ear-shattering pedal is not for the weak! Specifically designed for the players who want grungy/raunchy/ultra-high gain with endless sustain, the Rampage arrives in a roadworthy mosh-pit-proof package.

What makes the Rampage so bruatlly offending is its special 'Scoop' control. The scoop allows a mid cut of up to 30dB, making any amp scream beyond its capacity. Also included are controls for BASS (+/- 15dB), Treble (+/- 15dB), Sustain and Output.

Special attention was given to the Rampage to allow up to 75dB of raging gain with amazingly low noise. Simply crank up the Sustain parameter, touch a note, and let the feedback and harmonics go!

Rocktron has really outdone it this time and we think they have the wildest, screaminest, most outrageous distortion pedal on the planet. Get the Rampage!

Im sure to be satisfied by this pedal for quite awhile.

Sound
This pedal is great for getting a marshall-like sound and with my vintage peavey rockmaster tube head, it sounds like a 5150 (imagine that.) The scoop is very good, and only scoops mids that still allow definition. Scooping it all the way though, makes that cheesy crate distortion sound, haha. The sustain adds a good preamp gain like distortion, where as the Metal Planet by Rocktron adds more of a Poweramp gain. This pedal as well as the Metal Planet are great alone, or together, and are both very versatile. you can cut the bass to 9 or 10 oclock, boost the treble to 1-3 oclock and get a very TS-7 sound, or get a nice percussive sound by boosting the bass to 12oclock and leaving the treble where it is. the scoop sounds good everywhere, the sustain, the level reacts like a tube amp should, etc. This has an airy-noise to it but it isnt noisy in terms of lots of feedback. You may however have to readjust your playing to compensate poor playing habits.

Features
The scoop is really useful, as well as the sustain.

Quality
As with my previous Rocktron experience, better than a boss.... it's very sturdy.

Value
Id buy this even if they had a ts-7 for 40 bucks. This is great for shred solos.

Manufacturer Support
I asked about what would be a good adapter to use, and read more they pointed me in the proper direction.

The Wow Factor
It adds a "solo channel" to my single channel peavey. The Metal Planet added the second, so this would be its "third".
