"Rich and Mellow Sound, GREAT Price!"

This was a solid choice for my first ukulele. I had used a loaner for a couple of weeks, and done some research online, then just took the plunge with the purchase of this tenor uke and a second one, Kala Spruce top concert uke. I love both, but the feel of the tenor size, and its mellow voice has made it my favorite so far. If I upgrade it will likely be to a solid mahogany tenor, but there is still a lot to learn and I'm already getting compliments on the sound of this instrument, so it is all I really need for now, and quite a nice choice. The strings (Aquila nylgut) that came with this uke made a huge difference: even though I liked the loaner with other strings, this one with the nylgut has a much richer sound, so it does make a difference like others have said. Kala's ukes are modestly priced and good quality. I am happy, happy, happy with this choice.
