My wife ordered this Fender Special Run Classic Player Jaguar in Arctic White for my birthday, and even though they told her it probably would not arrive by that date, Zzounds made it happen! So hats off to you guys first for working your magic! When I saw this guitar and that it was a limited run, I knew which direction to go ( this was running against American Special Strat and CP Jazzmaster). Classic look, blocks and binding on the neck, and the quality is definitely up to American standards! My biggest mental road block was "Do I want to spend a grand on a Mexican guitar?" I can tell you, it is money very well spent. After just a few days, and many hours, I can say this guitar will never ever leave my collection, and I seriously doubt I'll run into another player with the same guitar. That appeals to me. But most importantly, this Jaguar plays like a dream.

Sound
Sound is amazing. You can find tones from warm and jazzy to twangy, and beyond. These single coils sound neither thin nor weak. This guitar produces more sustain than traditional Jaguars, thanks to the vibrato being moved closer to the bridge. It's a modern Jaguar with hotter pickups that still gives you much of the vintage look, feel and sound. I truly feel it's the best of both worlds. I strongly considered the Classic Player Special HH in Olympic white because of the ability to blend the single and humbuckers together. This FSR is hot enough on it's own!

I love love love vintage tuners! So easy to change and wind. Next, the sounds you get from all the switching options are vast and varied. The body contour is comfortable and the guitar won't cause fatigue standing and playing it. The electronics are very well-shielded, and the sustain is terrific for a Jaguar. I even love the vibrato so far. It holds tune far better than expected.

Ease of Use
Great sounds as soon as I plugged in. The switches are cake, really. Upper horn switch: up position for rhythm; use the upper dials for volume and tone; down position for lead; bottom switch up positions are neck and bridge positions ON, down for OFF, and the 3rd switch is a high-pass filter. It only sounds complicated. In practice , you can switch sounds very quickly on this guitar.

Quality
I was shocked when I got the Jaguar out of it's two boxes. Paint job was perfect. Frets were levelled - no sharp points - and the tuning was only a few semi-tones off on each string. The neck was perfectly straight as well. There is not a flaw on my Jaguar. I was nervous about spending a grand on a Mexican model. I have a Mexican Tele I acquired recently, for cheap (no risk). This Jaguar is roughly double what you'd pay for your typical new MIM Standard, and it's easily over double the quality!

Value
I think the value of this FSR Jaguar is excellent, especially when you consider the Cobain Jaguar is $1299, the AVRI '62 Jag is $1599, the Johnny Marr is $1799, and the '65 American is $2399. In that context, for what you get, especially the high quality, hotter pickups, and the blocks & binding, yes. Plus, few people will have this model.

Manufacturer Support
Haven't had to call. Don't expect an issue if I do.

The Wow Factor
The Wow Factor is HUGE! This model will not be seen very often. It reminds me more of what you might expect from Fender Japan.
