The Fender American Standard Stratocaster Maple HSS will add bite to your tone. The USA Strat HSS features Tex Mex single-coils and a Diamondback humbucker.
Overview
Among the new American Standard Stratocaster guitars, the HSS model is definitely the hot rod of the bunch, with more output and warmth from its Tex Mex single-coil pickups and Diamondback humbucking pickup. The S-1 switch is removed to keep it simple, but don't worry-Fender kept key features such as the hand-rolled fingerboard edges and staggered tuning machines, and they added several new ones to the American Standard Maple Stratocaster HSS.
- A new neck treatment-tinted for a richer presentation, with the maple or rosewood fingerboard buffed to a high gloss. The back of the neck still has that silky satin finish.
- A thinner finish undercoat that lets the body breathe and improves resonance.
- A new Fender-exclusive SKB molded case.
- Two beautiful new finish options, Sienna Sunburst and Blizzard Pearl.

Yeah this guitar is truly awesome, with the exception of the scratched tuning keys this guitar is flawless and is built to last a long time!
Sound
This guitar is everything you come to expect from an American Standard Stratocaster. All I had to do was some light adjustments to the pickup height and set the bridge height at 3/32nds from the base of the bridge to the body and after that she was right as rain! I love having that diamondback humbucker in the bridge it really bites hard! It really makes this guitar one versitle axe!
Features
This guitar was loaded with features! Of course you know the American Standard Fenders come with that new TSA hardshell case which is bulit like a tank! The guitar also has that new copper infused bridge block which really gives the guitar more sustain, and the new bent steel fender saddles which I think our kind of cool because it gives the guitar a sort of vintage vibe. I also like the clear coat treatment that apply to the fretboard and the face of the headstock, it really makes the guitar look classy; while still keeping the satin finshed c-shape neck. Everything about this axe screams quality.
Ease of Use
This guitar is very user friendly because the detailed fret and nut work give this guitar a broken in feel and make it really easy to play.
Quality
I'm giving the quality a 9 because there was some light scratches… read more on the tuning keys, but it in no way affects the playability. It's still my main axe because Fender knows what avid guitar players want and they stick to it!
Value
Believe me this guiar was worth every penny I paid for! I would highly recommend this guitar to anybody who wants a dependable axe that is built like a tank!
