First, I need to say that I could only afford this because of Zzounds' payment plan. Everyone charged about the same money for a new one- but Zzounds let me make four monthly payments.
I have had a lot of good luck with Epiphones, and this MM-50 Mandolin was no exception. I had it set-up by a pro, and it's got all the qualities I was looking for: a range of sounds from mellow to harsh "bark," and a low action that lets me go all over the fretboard. I'm very satisfied with the construction and the appearance- it's got a solid top and real curly maple back and sides. Great acoustic volume and it's MICs beautifully .
Musical Background:
Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo, Uke, Autoharp, Harmonica. Occasional Professional and street jammer.
Musical Style:
Rock, Folk, Country, Blues, Celtic, Cajun and "Other."
