DigiTech BP50 Bass Guitar Multi-Effects Processor
No longer available at zZounds
24-bit A/D/A. Rhythm trainer. Chromatic tuner.
Overview
Meet the newest member of Digitech's bass modeling floor processor line -- the new feature-packed BP50. Their bass guitar-freak engineers built the BP50 with the great tone and effects you expect from DigiTech, including award-winning amp and cabinet modeling plus an arsenal of studio- quality effects designed specifi cally for the bass.
The BP50 uses an AudioDNA DSP chip to ensure that both modeling and effects are world-class. Plus, 24-bit A/D/A converters ensure accurate tonal reproduction between inputs and outputs. And when Digitech wasn't looking, their fanatical engineers even snuck in a drum machine with 30 patterns, adjustable tempo and an easy-to-use 13-LED-array tuner. Then we made sure that the BP50's user interface was so simple a drummer could operate it (well most drummers, anyway).
If you've drooled over the bigger BP Series models but didn't have that much cash in your jeans, get on down to your DigiTech dealer and score a BP50.

Sound
I don't want to spend money on a tube amp, so I use this for my solid state amp. A nice selection of different cabinets
Features
you got a stereo output you can use with your headphones (I plug that into another amp to make my headphones louder, but it's usable for practice as is), the drum set is limited, but good for keeping time, and you get a tuner, what more can you ask for $80.
One thing that would be really nice would be to be able to use more than one effect at once, so if you need to have multiple effects at once this is not the box for you.
Ease of Use
easy to use, but dont even bother using the presets they are awful. You can get started with good presets on those web sites that tell you how to get a particular sound, but I think the best way to use this is play around with the settings until you get what you want.
Quality
works for me, but is plastic oh well
