8 in. Speaker. 12+ Watts RMS.

In 1990, Crate patented a solid state technology that simulates the sound of a hard-driven tube circuit. They called it FlexWave. How does that hard-driven tube simulation sound? Warm, distorted lower frequencies and harmonics while highs stay clean. Currently in its fifth incarnation, the FlexWave Evolution Five Preamp 5 offers unsurpassed performance in a solid state amp.

FlexWave amps offer tremendous tone variations-hence the name. Looking for a massive distortion sound? Easy. A clean sound for your single coil pickups? No problem. And the GFX line of FlexWave amps couple that same tone with 10 built-in digital effects that sound incredible. Flange, Chorus, Delay, Reverb, and Chorus + Reverb provide every player a wide range of sounds for every type of gig. Yet, what's more, GFX/FlexWave amps are durable and offer consistent sound because they are solid state. Crate Your Own Sound with GFX/FlexWave amps.

About a year. supplement. Wearing it out, looking for better hardwear at the same price. Good. Sometimes. Probably buy something eles, Marshall. How old it was. Very helpful when low on cash. HARDWARE!

Sound
Accurate, but tweeks at the lows. Sound quality is great for a studio amp(when miked properply). Slow response nothing a better pickups wouldn't cure. Yes in it's own little world. Yeah, because I use it as part of "tri-amping" technique. Yes. Actually it's pretty evenly based. Not to great to be honest, it needs alot of help. Alot better. Don't know I'd be affaid of using it live. Good very easy to operate. Jackson Rhodes, Jackson KE3> DOD Tec4x> GX15> speaker monitors/Kenwood Reciever(250 Watts max output> 2 MTX triaxles{100 watts per})> Randell RBA 500(500 watts), bass head> 2 Cerwin Vega MX 400(400 Watts power handling). Triamped.

Features
Basically, the features are great for my setup. It allows me to control the tone before the signal is boosted. Lets just say I wasn't getting enough output to the head and receiver before, now I do. The only draw back is if you have and older model like I do, the components get wore and have to be replace, like I had to do. I leard a lot about Crate's GX amp inside and out.

Quality
This is probably the only thing I can say. The quality department is lacking because of failure of parts, but no worries, they were fixed. I couldn't read more depend on it. Wish I had a backup. I don't think I would haul off and tour with this thing, NO. But after all was ordered and put back in, just a few minor maintance issuse, mechanical parts.

Manufacturer Support
Nope, first time. Yeah and helpful too. Technically yes. N/A. YES! :-{ Did all the work myself. Turned out good so far...

The Wow Factor
cute. it getting there, I understand that the newer models are made a little different but this little amp has pulled me up and put me back on my feet(it's great when parts aren't blowing out). It practical, but very helpful.

Musical Style:
ROCK, Heavy Metal.
