Overview
The Papoose is a smaller sized acoustic that plays and sounds like a big box. The Papoose is no toy, but a real-deal ax that is chock-full of design features, which probably won't mean a thing to you after you strum the first chord.
Traditional guitar building meets space age design to create a fine guitar - one that happens to be much easier to carry around. They've put a lot of thought into the bracing and all the bits inside that you never get to see, unless you go full "El Kabong."
You'll notice first that the sound hole has morphed into a paisley shape and migrated to the upper bout of the guitar. Our first impression was that this was to prevent the dreaded "dropped pick in soundhole" syndrome, but Tacoma assures us that this changed, moved soundhole is in a better place to enhance the tone and volume of the instrument. Either way, it sure looks cool!
When you consider there's a solid western Cedar top, solid Mahogany back and sides, a slim one-piece Mahogany neck, 21-fret Rosewood fingerboard, and a Graphtech nut - you've got to say "whoa, this is a serious guitar!" It's even shipped with Elixir strings. Nice touches, like the scratch-proof Velvet Lexan pickguard, and the StringEZ string slots say that Tacoma means business.
