24-bit AD/DA converters. CD-Text support.
Overview
The CDR-W66 is the first CDR-W Recorder for professional production applications from Sony. It features high-quality, 24-bit AD/DA converters, DSP functions, and CD-Text support. The CDR-W66 targets professional and project studios, radio production, and broadcast production.
Features
Built-in DSP Including SBM recording, EQ, and limiter: SBM provides near 20-bit audio performance EQ (3-band sweepable plus mid-bandwidth selection) and limiter (with variable ratio) allow custom tailoring of source material to fit recording requirements. Available on analog and AES/EBU inputs.
PC keyboard input/CD-text support: Allows user entry of CD titles to disc via wired/wireless remote or any standard (PS/2) PC keyboard (optional). Also displays CD-text from supported CD sources.
Professional remote interface: The CDR-W66 may be controlled via RS-232C or 9-pin parallel connectors on the unit's back panel, allowing for PC-control or remote-control options such as GPI triggers (i.e.-fader starts)
24-bit A/D, D/A with 32-96k SRC: 24-bit converters assure the cleanest possible input quality and SRC (Sample Rate Converter) allows recording from various digital sources.
Supplied wired/wireless remote: Can be used directly with included wire for professional applications or can be used as a typical IR remote for added convenience.
X2 duplication bus link: Allows X2 speed CD-dubbing from one CDR-W66 to a second CDR-W66
Complete I/O interface: Features all the necessary ins and outs, including… read more Balanced and unbalanced analog I/O, plus coaxial, optical, and AES/EBU digital I/O.
Word Clock input: For assuring accurate sample clock synchronization to other digital audio sources.
User-selectable SCMS: Menu accessible feature that allows the user to select the level of SCMS copy-prohibit data written to the disc. CDs may be written with the maximum level of protection or none at all. read less
