The Shure wireless systems are excellent. One reason I like them is the battery life. Fully charged (in the Shure receiver) it shows OVER 17 hours, enough for several gigs in a row. But, they recharge quickly and will recharge in the receiver even with the system turned off- IF the power cord is attached to a live receptacle. ONLY one negative has been found and that is cracking of the outside plastic case. The batteries were not dropped nor abused in any way, but cracking occurred. I have advised Shure of the problem and they will replace. I would suggest you keep a spare, just in case.
