All-tube preamp. Programmable "series" or "parallel" effects loop. MIDI foot controller.

An Amp Like You've Never Seen or Heard Before!
Designed with a simple straight ahead front panel layout and shorter less complex signal path, the T2 produces an extremely powerful, punishing tone. A true 3 mode amplifier, the T2 offers an extremely wide range of tones to fit any playing style while seriously catering to those who hunger for gain.

A revolutionary power circuit called "Valve-Dynamicâ„¢" is the engine that drives this new high powered head. This newly developed Tube driven Mosfet power section is driven by a 12AT7 for natural tube feel and compression. However, the key to this power circuit is the accuracy in frequency response of a full 100 watt tube power amp, which results in unbelievable dynamic all tube tone, feel, and response.

Features:
2-channel all-tube preamp with 3 modes:
Mode 3: A boosted overdrive with punishing gain and liquid sustain
Mode 2: Classic overdrive channel for vintage to modern tube tone
Mode 1: Full tube clean with warm tone and big headroom

3 MIDI switching channels

Programmable "series" or "parallel" effects loop with single On/Off switch. Can also be activated for any/all channels then stored and recalled by the included MIDI foot controller.

Gain and Level controls for both channels

Master "Density" control. Adjusts the power amp low end dynamics

Master "Presence" control. Adjusts the power amp extreme high end dynamics

Mic Eliminator XLR direct recording output

World voltage selector/AC inlet

During the development of the new V2 and T2 amplifiers, several ground breaking discoveries allowed us to narrow in on several key factors and obvious differences as to why tube power reacts and feels so much differently than a traditional solid-state power amp. Those discoveries resulted, as you'll soon hear, in the groundbreaking "Valve-Dynamicâ„¢" circuit.

Due to Randall's newly designed Tube driven Mosfet power section called Valve-Dynamicâ„¢, these amps now clip extremely soft with a natural compression when pushed reacting much like a standard power tube. However, because the frequency response of a standard power tube has very unique characteristics, Randall put an immense amount of R&D into emulating and capturing that response curve to develop a new power circuit and ultimately an entire amp line with true tube feel, dynamics, and tone.

I am using my RH200 as my backup for right now, But I will be buying another T2 as a backup for my existing T2 soon. Funny thing though. I have always had a backup for my main head, but I've never needed a backup for for my Randalls. The T2 has tubes, so I'll have one just in case.

Sound
For ease of use, sound quality, reliability, and the immediatly accessable variations of hard rock to metal tones. This is the best overall Randall head to date in my opinion. I have owned and used, many differant models of Randall heads(Randall-century 170II, century 200II, RH200, V-Max, War Head, and now the T2) for the past 10 years. The MTS and V2 models, offer a wider array of options, but the shorter signal path of the T2 combined with the valve dynamic power section provide a much better tone.

Features
Not the most features, I would like separate EQs for the clean and overdrive channels. I doesn't affect me at all, but it would still be nice.

Ease of Use
Can't get much easier to dial in a killer hard to heavy tone! Clean is great and easy too!

Quality
Built in classic Randall fashion....Like a tank. With a great stage look.

Value
Really can't beat the overall Randall value. I've always been pleased with what my Randalls have given me for thr price I've paid.

The Wow Factor
