zZounds Gear Experts Say...
Made to fit any regular sized acoustic yet still provide enough support to meet commercial baggage restrictions.
Overview
Finally a solution for the frequent flying guitarist!
Traditionally, flight cases for guitars have been either grossly overbuilt and
overweight, or cheap and flimsy. PSG solution is simple; build a case that has
all the essential elements and leave out the fluff and crushed velvet. The
new ProStageGear flight case/gig bag combination meets the weight limit
restriction of 50 pounds or less for all checked baggage on commercial
airlines. If your guitar fits into a gig bag (and who's doesn't) you can
fly it in a ProStageGear case. A unique feature of ProStageGear's new design is that it allows you to travel with a wide variety of guitars as the interior is not a foam cutout for a particular body shape or style. To protect your valuable instrument, they've included adjustable interior foam blocks to reinforce the critical neck and headstock area and the base of the case is lined with 1/4 inch of dense rubberized foam while the lid has thick soft foam protection.
Many musicians who fly with their guitars end up having to stuff their gig
bags into their luggage to use once they arrive at their destination to avoid
having to drag their heavy flight case around during their stay. With the
ProStageGear Guitar Flight Case Combo the gig bag is ready to go while the
outer flight case can be stored in a safe place until the return trip home.
All of our guitar flight cases have low profile recessed wheels on one end so
you can roll it around with ease. ProStageGear is so excited about this… read more new design they're throwing in a free ProStageGear gig bag with each one!

"You can't fly with this without breaking the bank. Huge and Heavy."

The reason for the low rating is that if you plan on "flying with this", you better own a bank. This is a huge (76 inches in total dimension), heavy (47 pounds) case that will cost a fortune to fly. If I were a pro going on tour I could ship my guitar ground with this and feel it was safe. But don't be mislead by the advertising. You can't get this on any airline with you unless you buy another seat or pay a fortune in excess baggage.
