I imagine I'll be playing the Singlecut SE for years. This guitar actually inspires me to play.
Sound
The pickups cover a very wide range of voicings. They go from almost jangly to gritty very easily. The guitar re-acts nicely to the volume control. Set it wide open and you get the PRS gritty, turn it down and it cleans up well.
Features
Very nicely built guitar. The fretwork on mine is spectacular. I was concerned about the wide-fat neck, but it is very very comfortable to play and I have small hands.
Ease of Use
I think this is where the SE's really shine, the playability rivals ANY guitar I have ever played and in playing for nearly 50 years, I've played a bunch! Also, I have arthritis and this is the most comfortable guitar I have to play. The neck is a pleasure to play.
Quality
When I opened the box,I expected to have to set it up, like all guitars. However, it was perfect out of the box. Intonation, string height, neck relief all as specified on the PRS website.
Value
It's a big bang for the buck. It is amazing what $600 buys these days. I want to find something to be nit picky about, but I can't.
Manufacturer Support
I haven't had to contact customer service.
The Wow Factor
She's sexy thing. A beautiful Tobacco Burst with nicely figured maple top.
