"A fun, easy to use way to record your favorite programs, videos, etc."

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
If I can get it repaired I expect I'll use it for a few more years.
Sound
If recording from a VCR you may need to use the VCR the tape was recorded on to get the best quality. Noise that your TV doesn't pick up turns into pops and clicks on the DVDR.
Features
Love to use it like a VCR to record programs.
Quality
Great quality in any speed.
Value
I believe the prices have come down since I purchased my unit but I still think what I paid has been worth it in terms of archiving old videos and home movies
Manufacturer Support
I have been having problems with my unit just turning itself off or going crazy during a recording... intermittantly. I can't even find it on Philips website in order to find a service center.
The Wow Factor
It is pretty nice but I'd like more informataion on the display and I'd like some options for how the Menu on the DVD you create will look.
