"Numark DM2000x -- The Mixer for the New DJ"
I own this mixer, and it has been wonderful to me. The imputs and outputs are solid, not to mention a very sturdy design. It has taken a lot of abuse and kept on ticking. The preamp could use a little work, but it is very powerful. The only drawback to this mixer is the lack of the 4th channel. Just one more guys! would have make it much much better. Beyond that, If you're just starting out, this is the one for you. The crossfade is smooth and quick.
Sound
The sound quality is impecabble compared to my old mixer. The preamp has a slight hiss and hum, but beyond that it's great!

The Wow Factor
I'm currently looking for a mixer that does more, and has more features...but it is a great startup mixer.
