MXR took a classic distortion circuit and hot-rodded it to deliver over-the-top soaring leads and rich, saturated rhythms. With only three knobs, dialing in a badass tone is a cinch. Engage the CRUNCH button to boost the harmonic content of the distortion. Under the hood, this high performance machine features top notch circuitry and hardware meant for a lifetime of use.

The MXR Custom Badass '78 is powered by one 9-volt battery (remove bottom plate to install), a 9-volt AC adapter such as the Dunlop ECB003/ECB003E, or a DC Brick power supply.
