MTD Kingston Andrew Gouche AG-6 Electric Bass, 6-String

Dubbed "The Godfather of Gospel Bassists", Andrew Gouche has toured and recorded with artists such as Prince, Chaka Kahn, Gladys Knight, Rev. James Cleveland, Walter & Edwin Hawkins, The Winans, Andrae Crouch, Quincy Jones, Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Donna Summer, Diana Ross The Band of Brothers. Andrew plays his Signature MTD's with custom MTD Bartolini pickups and electronics.

Having been friends with legendary bass player Andrew Gouche for years and having already created an Andrew Gouche signature model for the MTD Handmade American line, the music didn't end there.

The Kingston Andrew Gouche, or the Kingston AG as it's called, began in 2010, with close collaboration between Michael Tobias and the signature artist, with the goal of bringing the best features of the Handmade Andrew Gouche Signature to the Kingston line.

The Kingston AG features a carved alder body, with a stunning burl maple top. Alder makes a very warm, big sounding, slightly compressed, punchy bass. The burl maple top helps to focus the low end, while the purpleheart fingerboard complements the custom smoky purple satin finish, tying everything together for Andrew's favorite tone and feel. The AG also features proprietary MTD Bartolini soapbar pickups, adding to it's incredible tone.
