Fifty-watt, all-tube head. 4 x 12 cabinet.

Marshall has specialized in the production of valve amplification since 1962. The unique tone and playing response of the valve has formed the cornerstone of the Marshall "Sound of Rock," which Marshall has modified over the years to cope with the changing demands of the evolving guitar player.

Imagine an amp head which draws on all the massive, wide open classic valve power of the original Super Lead Plexis, but with control facilities to take you through the full 36 years of Marshall tonal heritage and beyond. A head which is packed full of all the classic Marshall valve openness and roar that you could ever want, with more massive gain capability and a clean sound quite unlike any Marshall before. This description fully fits the JCM2000 DSL50 Dual Super Lead.

Features

Great stack covers just about any genre!
Sound
This amp IS all that-at least for me. Cabinet sounds fantastic. I say that out nof the box. I can get just about any desired tone out of this machine. From classic blues to hard rock/heavy metal to thrash. There seem to be limitless combinations for tone. Very happy with it.
Features
It has everyhthing I need or want but does not have features I know others may like (such as a master volume) so I have to give it a 9.
Ease of Use
Not much to it. 1 equilizer, 2 channels, clean, classic crunch, lead 1 (very distorted) and lead 2 (distored distortion so to speak). Bass and trebel boosters as well. All channels can be tweaked a long way using the eq and boosters and gain.
Quality
I have to give it a 8 becuase the first one I recieved had no functional reverb. Otherwise perfect which is why I can overlook the QC issue with the first head.
Value
For a Marshall half stack with this sound quality I say it is worth every penny.
Manufacturer Support
I was shipped a new head before I sent back the defective head. No questions. Didn't miss a beat (don't need reverb much although I like it).
The Wow Factor
It's a Marshall.
