Marshall Vintage Modern Guitar Amplifier Half Stack with 2466 Head and 425A Cabinet

The Marshall Vintage Modern half stack features the best of both worlds.
These are two words that don't normally sit comfortably together unless you're talking guitar amplification. The Vintage aspect of course, the tone-fat, smooth, classic and dynamic. The Modern aspect is the feature-set included to enable ease of use and flexibility- Master Volume, series FX Loop, Extra overdrive for those hot modded sounds, onboard Reverb and a New frequency selective pre-amp topology to facilitate tonal tailoring for specific instruments and musical styles.

The Marshall 2466 Vintage Modern head is an all-valve single channel amplifier with a choice of two dynamic ranges selectable by a footswitch. The Low range equates to the performance you would come to expeect from a stock vintage Marshall amplifier in terms of tone and available gain. The High range adds an extra preamp valve into the signal path, facilitating those classic hard rock tones of the seventies. Add to this, the ability to dynamically interface with your instrument's Volume and Tone controls and the experience translates into a truly expressive and organic feel in performance.

Two frequency selective Pre-amp volumes (gains)-Body and Detail- facilitate greater flexibility of tonal shaping for individual guitars and styles while the power amplifier is heavily based on the first Marshall amplifiers to be produced, with four KT66 output valves yielding that substantial fat and smooth tone. A Mid Boost switch on the front read more panel fattens the tone even more while a traditional Marshall tone control circuit enables fine tuning of your sound.

Marshall follows tradition with the Vintage Modern 425A angled cabinet. A 4x12 cabinet, the 425A is mono/stereo switchable and loaded with G12C 25 Watt Celestion Greenbacks. These were specifically developed for the Limited Edition Jimi Hendrix Super100JH stack and are voiced to give that rich and balanced harmonic timbre. The perfect marriage of vintage sound and modern features from Marshall.

This Amp would last me a long time. It looks sexy, it sounds sexy, it is sexy.
Sound
Amazing vintage sound and the reverb is perfect. You can get the right Jimmy hendrix or Jimmy Page sound with it. The modern sound is also amazing for that hard rock sound you want. Its mostly the vintage sound I used.
Features
I love that it has a presence on it. With many modern amps there're are no presence. It just helps you get the right pinch you need. Also the detail and body is real nice, it gives you the ability to shape your distortion into that perfect vintage sound.
Ease of Use
Easy to use. No complicated knobs or settings. Just turn it on and play around till you get that perfect sound.
Quality
Don't really know. Never had one, just used one. Marshall has always had great durable amps. You could bash an MG on the ground and it would still work.
Value
Its worth paying for instead of buying an even more expensive replica vintage amp. You can get the same sound at a lower price and even have an added Modern sound.
Manufacturer Support
Never used it, never needed it, and they keep it that way.
The Wow Factor
Its just so darn sexy with its smooth sleak lines and crisp sound. If I won the lotery I would be in the store buying it the second I got my money.
