Overview
Delivering 50W RMS of Marshall power through its custom-designed 12 in. speaker, the twin channel MG50DFX delivers the goods both at home and onstage. Each footswitchable channel has its own set of tone controls for maximum flexibility. As well as producing great clean sounds, when you crank up the Clean channel's Gain control you get a raunchy, blues-tinged crunch. As you'd expect from a Marshall, the Overdrive channel has Gain to spare and also boasts the now legendary Valvestate style Contour control, which allows you to "scoop out" or "fill in" the all important mids. The specially voiced DFX section offers Chorus/Delay, Delay, Chorus and Flange effects, plus a natural sounding digital Reverb with its own individual Level control. Add to this our revolutionary FDD, footswitchable channels, a Serial Effects loop and Speaker Emulated Headphones and Line Out, plus a CD input, which allows you to plug in a CD or cassette player and jam along with your favourite artist or band and you have an unbeatable package for the price.

"An affordable Amp"
I bought this same amp from a used music store in Texas on a trade in for only 80 USD out of my pocket, (I Traded a Dime Blacktooth 20W)
This amplifier has been Decent, however it has a few drawbacks like the Fan making a really bad grinding noise, but this usually goes away after a min or two, The amp has a Weak Overdrive channel for metal, but it is great for indie or blues.
the clean channel sounds great, clean and crisp.
I mainly use this amp on the clean channel with the DFF on and my BOSS ME-70 on the Rectifier EQ setting, which gives me all i need and a bit more.
I use an Ibanez RG8 which is an 8 sting guitar. and i made an independent case for it so it was more portable, this offers a Minimum 8 Ohm output to a 4X12 or whatever cab you want to use. i use the Marshall Lead 4x12 model 8412, when doing gigs and this amp is up to the task, it sounds better when its louder and given you know what you are doing with the EQ you can make some really good tones, it does not however hold a candle to any of the Valve amps that Marshall makes but for the price its really all you need if you are in a smaller band like myself.
