Overview

The Martin remastered X Series is made to play. The left-handed acoustic-electric D-X2E Brazilian 12-string features a satin-finished spruce top with an elegant abalone pattern rosette and eye-catching Brazilian rosewood pattern high-pressure laminate (HPL) back and sides for added durability and looks, without sacrificing that classic Martin tone. Playability enhancements include a thinner fingerboard with a gently beveled comfort edge and refined string spacing, and a modernized bridge contour for a smooth and comfortable playing experience. It also features a select hardwood neck, fingerboard, and bridge for improved sound and sustain, and Martin E-1 electronics with a built-in chromatic tuner and volume, tone, and phase controls. The D-X2E Brazilian 12-String's iconic dreadnought body size is loud and projective with strong bass, lending itself to any genre and experience level, while the extra strings provide a unique layer of chime, tone, and texture. All X Series models come with a softshell case.

I wasn't even looking to buy a guitar, then, came across this beautiful Martin 12 string lefty. I have never owned, actual lefty 12, let alone, a Martin. After letting my guitar sit overnight, I tuned it the next day. I couldn't believe how easy it is to play this guitar. The setup is amazingly comfortable. I began with it tuned down a whole step, then tuned it up ½ step, which is where I will leave it. The sound is absolutely beautiful! I love the richness, of the Brazilian rosewood. I'm quite impressed with the strings that came on the guitar. The combination of everything, gives that great, 12 string jangle. I spent most of my Saturday afternoon, playing this guitar, without any finger fatigue at all. This is a very fun guitar to play, it's beautiful to look at, and, the sound is fantastic. Anyone looking for a nice 12 string, that won't break the bank, this is perfect. I'm now excited to be playing again.
