Martin Dreadnoughts, like the D-18, are known for their loud, projective tone and strong bass. This model is built to the same specifications as the standard D-18, but now Martin offers this longtime staple with a satin finish top, back, and sides. The top includes an aging toner, and it is also available with an amberburst.

The D-18 is crafted with mahogany back and sides, so you'll still enjoy plenty of volume and pick up some bright trebles and punchy mid-range tones. The scalloped bracing on this model contributes volume and a fuller sound than non-scalloped bracing. If you're looking for a satin-finished Standard Series guitar that stands out from the crowd, this D-18 Satin fits the bill.

Just received a new Martin D-18 Satin from zZounds. Love it! Very light weight! Easy to play! Great tone across the bass, mids and treble! Very resonant with lots of sustain! A true cannon of a guitar! I like Martin’s satin finish on this guitar! It’s just as much a D-18 as the gloss model is! Great job Martin! Great customer service zZounds!
