Overview

This Martin D18 Custom Shop is the fruit of the labor from a collaboration between our guitar buyer and C.F.Martin with the goal to conceive a true player's guitar. The warmth of the traditional D18 mahogany back and sides is coupled with an Adirondack Spruce top, which was hand-picked at the Martin factory by our buyer and the wood experts at the Martin Custom Shop. Adding the hand-scalloped bracing instead of standard bracing insures that big Martin tone that is so familiar on the most expensive models. Cosmetic appointments are simple and classic, with a traditional Delmar Tortoise pickguard, Old Style Martin logo, and Gotoh Nickel tuners. This exclusive Martin Custom Shop D-18 includes a hardshell case.

The woods used to build this guitar are outstanding. Beautiful grained adirondack soundboard and the best looking mohagany back and sides I've ever seen on a D-18. The sound is excellent right out of the box and will only get louder and improve with age. I am one happy camper with this instrument.
