While MESA Road King Cabinets were primarily conceived for use with the built-in cabinet switcher found on their landmark Road King Amplifier, they offer amazing tonal options and versatility with ANY amplifier! With the Rectifier Cabinets as their blueprint for materials, construction, and layout, Road King Cabinets provide a new level of performance and convenience through the use of an innovative Dual-Cabinet design.

Road King 2x12s and 4x12s feature a tuned open-back side (left) and a sealed, closed-back side (right), each of which may be used independently or combined, all within the same cabinet! Combined with the cabinet-switching option built-in the Road King Head or Combo, OR - using an external cabinet switcher with your favorite amp, dynamic live performance, composition, and miking options are endless. Finished with a custom-tuned, one-piece rear panel spanning both sides, a Celestion Vintage 30 is loaded in the closed side and Mesa-Boogie's exclusive Celestion Custom 90 in the open side, offering amazing tonal variety and application flexibility. A side-by-side comparison with a 2x12 Horizontal Rectifier Cab showcases the Road King 2x12 Cab as being slightly tighter and more focused in the lows with a little more prominent midrange and sparkle in the high-end from the open-back influence.
