Marshall The Guv'nor Reissue Overdrive/Distortion Pedal

zZounds Gear Experts Say...
Crafted in the UK, Marshall's The Guv'nor is a faithful recreation of the original that was released in 1988 that will add some British flavor to any rig.
Overview
Named after Jim Marshall himself, the original Guv’nor pedal was released in 1988 and set the bar for the generations of distortion pedals that have followed since. This reissue faithfully recreates the classic sound of The Guv’nor, providing a smooth overdriven sound with a touch of compression. The pedal is housed in a casing that is accurately modeled on the original, from the unique shape right down to the individually colored control knobs. All that’s missing are the stories collected over 30+ years of use, but that’s where you come in.

Turns my non Marshall amps into instant Marshall voiced amps. It was redundant in front of my JCM 800 however I tried it there just to see. Great in front of my Origin 50H and DSL40C.Pedal cleans up very well with guitar roll off. You can set pedal gain high and then roll off to mid gain variations and leaner. Feedback to harmonic overtones are there when holding bends or chords.Lots of R&R in this pedal. Great Marshall tones. I use it for rock & hard rock.
