The uke has none of the problems stated in other reviews. The wood of the body and neck had no imperfections, sure it's veneer, but the wood of the body looks great. It is a matte finish which could be treated if needed. The strings sound fine. I own several guitars and tried restringing it to DGBE, but it lost the Uke sound, so I changed the strings back and after about a week of re-tuning they hold the original tuning well. It is a great intro. to "guitar" for little kids.

Musical Background:

Played guitar in bands in the 60's. Now just play at home - Fender electric, acoustic 12 string, classical, and bass.

Rock, blues, ballads.
