Add volume and tone to your acoustic with this acoustic guitar pickup. Choose between the 1/4-in. male or female end pin jack.

Slim, sleek design with excellent output describes the California Acoustic sound hole pickup. Extra quiet operation combined with high output and tonal excellence gives this acoustic pickup an edge on the competition.

The California Acoustic comes with a high quality cable, which is mated to either a female Switchcraft end pin jack or 12 ft. cable with a 1/4-inch plug. The end pin jack and 1/4-inch plug are of high quality chromed housings. Organic cork helps protect your guitar's finish with a positive clamping setup.

Compare this super high quality acoustic pickup to any "slab of wood" type of sound hole pickup and you will know the difference. Quality, craftsmanship and tone set the California Acoustic far apart from the others.

Unsurpassed in value, unsurpassed in tone and good looks. Easy to Install.

"Not worth the money."

I was satified for about 20 minutes then I tried it and promptly returned it.
Sound
Maybe I just had a dud, but to even hear it I had to run it into my effects board turn the volume all the way up and then into a 25W amp with the volume and gain all the way up. Then I could hear the guitar and a lot of noise.
Features
The cork "padded" brackets for attaching to a sound hole are junk. The bracket actually left a mark on the finish of my guitar. It also lacked any form of instructions, but it is simple to attach it.
Ease of Use
Simple, 2 "padded" brackets, tighten, but do not over tighten the screws.
Quality
You could see where the wire was soddered to the male 1/4 jack on the one I owned. The plastic wrap on the wire did not extend all the way down the wire. I had to put the jack back together because the cover was not screwed on. I could have fixed the poor wiring job, but since the sound was so poor I returned it and bought a Fishman Neo D Humbucker instead and am completely satified.
Value
For $10 more buy a Fishman. I can not speak for other brands but I have Fishman pickups in my 6 and 12 string acoustic guitars. Like I said I owned this product and returned it the next day. It was a waste of my time and gas.
Manufacturer Support
N/A, I didn't even bother with it.
The Wow Factor
It looked ok in the box and was cheaper than the other pickups. There is nothing "SEXY" about it otherwise.
