Overview

The new SP Series Stage Pianos are the performance keyboards you've been waiting for. Well-constructed and affordable, these stage pianos have everything you need. The SP Series comes in lightweight 76- and 88-key semi-weighted action models (SP76 and SP88), plus an 88-note fully weighted action model (SP88X). The Stage Pianos have the award-winning Kurzweil sounds and transmit on 2 user-selectable, independent MIDI channels. Put your music on stage with this new model of performance piano from Kurzweil, the leader in sound technology.

32 programs and 32 factory setups are provided which offer a variety of splits and layered combinations with useful controller assignments. Grand Piano offers stretched and non-stretched tuned versions, and programs with different EQ. Dual-Hardness Tine Electric Piano offers soft and hard strike samples arranged in many program variations, FM Electric Piano is provided in a variety of programs. Programs based on the Ensemble Strings include selections with different EQs and envelope response. Tone Wheel Organ programs include organ with percussion, ballad organ, jazzy organ, and more.

The SP Series keyboards also offer many MIDI controller features. Two Ribbons (used instead of traditional wheels) provide flexible control. The Pitch ribbon has a user programmable software "spring," allowing the pitch to jump back to center or remain at the value where the finger lifts off the surface. It's the best. buy it, buy it, buy it. Even if you're not a Piano Player buy it so you can sample it into a MPC or something these samples are amazing!!! That's all I can say.

Sound
Incredible Piano samples!! Absolutely beautiful sounds with an almost Crystal tone to them. It's an excellent piece of gear, I never expected this degree of Quality for anything in this price range. Then I ran it through Pro Tools and put some D-Verb on it and it was just stupid!!! (That's good) get one please, It's gorgeous sounding!!!

Features
It has beautiful sustain!! But mostly it's just a stage Piano, you can tweak it and use it as a pretty powerful Midi Controller, but I wouldn't say it was loaded with features but I didn't buy it fa that so I'm okay with it the way it is.

Ease of Use
It's pretty to simple to get into playing it but for some of the effects it takes some looking into the manual but it's all good. I was playing and having a quite a good time in minutes.

Quality
It has a solid build. And excellent semi-weighted feel to it. Once again stellar.

Value
You won't find better Piano sounds in this price in my opinion. This is too good I am amazed every time I play it by how good it sounds.

The Wow Factor
The Sex Appeal to this… read more machine starts after it's powered on, the sound is amazing it makes you wanna light a candle and just chill. I often wish it would play itself so I can just listen to it. The sound is so sweet, clear, yet colored with warmth, softness, and gentleness. Physically it won't blow you away but when it all comes together no other Piano will come close to doing what this does. (Of course speaking figuratively)
