The Sustainiac is simply a 9-volt system that can sustain a note, or chord, or the harmonic of the note, and even blend the fundamental with the harmonic to create an awesome screaming tone. It operates on one 9-volt battery contained in its own housing for easy access. Turn it on and you can hold any note or chord indefinitely. Flick the switch while holding the note or chord from the fundamental to the blend mode and listen to it scream. This is also one of - if not the only - system that has a driver that is actually a pickup. Some other systems use capacitors on the circuit board to make the bridge or middle pickup sound similar to what the neck pickup is supposed to sound like - but not the Sustainiac.
